Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for an immediate halt to ongoing hostilities in the region, warning that the conflict risks escalating into a wider crisis capable of destabilising neighbouring countries.

Speaking during a public address, Erdogan stressed the need for urgent diplomatic efforts and dialogue among the parties involved, noting that continued fighting could trigger humanitarian and economic consequences across the broader region.

He cautioned that if the violence is not contained promptly, it could spiral into a prolonged confrontation that threatens regional security and global stability.

The Turkish leader also urged the international community to intensify mediation efforts and support initiatives aimed at achieving a lasting ceasefire and peaceful resolution.

According to him, prioritising diplomacy and cooperation remains the most effective path to preventing further loss of lives and safeguarding regional peace.

Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s readiness to support constructive engagement and humanitarian assistance to affected populations as efforts continue to de-escalate tensions.
