The Federal Government says policies introduced under President Bola Tinubu are addressing the persistent brain drain in Nigeriaโ€™s healthcare sector while strengthening service delivery nationwide.

The Minister of Health stated this while outlining ongoing reforms aimed at improving working conditions for medical professionals and upgrading health infrastructure across the country.

According to the minister, investments in modern equipment, hospital rehabilitation and local pharmaceutical and medical equipment production are central to the administrationโ€™s strategy to retain skilled health workers.

He noted that incentives and capacity-building programmes are also being expanded to encourage Nigerian doctors and health professionals in the diaspora to return and contribute to national development.

The minister added that the push for medical industrialisation would reduce dependence on imports, create jobs and enhance the overall resilience of the healthcare system.
