Top political figures, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, on Saturday, attended the funeral of former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Solomon Ewuga.
The burial, held in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, drew dignitaries, traditional rulers, and community leaders who came together to honour Ewugaโs life and service to the state.
Governor Sule, while speaking at the event, described Ewuga as a visionary statesman who worked tirelessly for the progress and unity of Nasarawa. He said the late politician left behind a legacy of humility, peace, and leadership worthy of emulation.
Also speaking, APC National Chairman Yilwatda praised Ewugaโs role in shaping Nasarawaโs political landscape, adding that his wisdom and dedication would continue to inspire younger generations.
Labaran Maku, a long-time associate of the deceased, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, recalling Ewugaโs courage and selfless devotion to public service.
Ewuga, who served as Deputy Governor from 1999 to 2003, was remembered by many as a pillar of community development and a man who lived for the people.
