The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that no amount of money, including $1 billion, could persuade him to venture into partisan politics.
Speaking during the impartation service at the churchโs annual convocation, Shiloh 2025, Oyedepo said politics falls outside his divine calling, urging believers to remain focused on their God-given assignments.
He recalled warning the church in 2015 about impending challenges, stressing that individuals can only โrule their worldโ by staying within their area of calling.
โPartisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I wonโt, because itโs off my course,โ the bishop stated.
Oyedepo also spoke on the urgency of the times, noting that the world is in darkness and in need of divine intervention, referencing Romans 8:19.
According to him, a new generation โ described as the โarmy of Godโ โ is set to emerge with solutions to national and global challenges, in a manner likened to biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel.
He concluded by encouraging Christians to remain steadfast and undistracted, emphasising that fulfilment and impact come from staying true to oneโs divine purpose.
