Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed deep concern over Nigeriaโs worsening security situation, saying the Federal Government appears overwhelmed by the scale and spread of violent attacks across the country.
Kwankwaso lamented that despite promises and ongoing military operations, insecurity continues to escalate in several regions, leaving citizens vulnerable to banditry, kidnapping, insurgency, and communal violence. He warned that the persistent deterioration raises serious questions about the governmentโs ability to restore stability and protect lives.
Speaking during a public engagement, the NNPP presidential candidate urged the government to urgently review its security architecture, strengthen intelligence operations, and adopt a coordinated national strategy that goes beyond military force.
He called for stronger collaboration between federal and state authorities, improved welfare for security personnel, and enhanced community involvement to achieve lasting peace.
Kwankwaso also noted that insecurity threatens national unity, economic progress, and public confidence in governance, stressing that decisive action is urgently needed before the situation worsens further.
