The Dangote Group has revealed that Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), led a delegation of top executives on an inspection visit to the Dangote Group refinery.
According to the company, the visit was hosted by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Aliko Dangote, alongside senior management staff, as both organisations continue to deepen collaboration within Nigeriaโs energy sector.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Dangote Group released photographs showing Ojulari touring sections of the massive refinery complex, interacting with technical teams, and assessing ongoing operations. The images also captured discussions between executives focused on production capacity, distribution efficiency, and strengthening domestic refining.
The visit comes amid increasing attention on local refining and fuel supply stability, with stakeholders expecting the Dangote refinery to play a major role in reducing Nigeriaโs dependence on imported petroleum products. Industry observers say engagements between NNPC Ltd and private refiners signal growing cooperation aimed at improving energy security and supporting economic growth.
While details of specific agreements were not disclosed, insiders note that the inspection reflects continued strategic engagement between the state oil company and private sector investors in the downstream sector.
More photos from the visit show both executives examining key facilities and exchanging ideas on boosting output and ensuring sustainable operations at the refinery.
